Draft Technician

Shore Point Distributing Co is a family-owned beverage distributor located in Freehold N.J. that carries an extensive line of national, regional, and local beers, as well as wine, spirits and non-alcohol beverages. Shore Point Distributing Co is one of the largest beverage wholesalers in the state servicing Warren, Hunterdon, Burlington, Mercer, Somerset, Middlesex, Monmouth, and Ocean counties.

Shore Point is currently seeking a full time Draft Technician to join its Freehold, NJ location.

Overview:

A draft beer technician is a customer service minded supportive extension of the sales team. Assisting with the overall draft beer business we provide to maximize sales, retailer profitability, while providing professional quality service. Executing work orders for all areas that affect draft beer; regular system service, diagnosing of issues, quality inspection, delivery and pickup of tap markers, and emergency line flushing.

Responsibilities:

1. Complete assigned daily work orders.
2. Cultivate and maintain relationships with key decision makers in all accounts.
3. Assist with draft system consultations for new accounts while abiding by all local, state, and federal legal regulations.
4. Assess and troubleshoot basic draft system issues.
5. Draft maintenance for seasonal accounts. (open and close draft systems)
6. Maintenance of cold plate and picnic pumps. Set up portable draft equipment (i.e., cold plates, draft trucks, picnic pumps) for special events. (Provide service at the event site as needed.)
7. Deliver and pick up branded tap markers in the market.
8. Extensive knowledge of beer gas mixtures to properly pour the brands we service.
9. Maintain all ABC required documents, transit permit, solicitors permit, invoices, sampling log and sample stickers.
10. Maintain a fully stocked inventory of equipment and parts.
11. Accurately submit VIP Karma survey at every account call.
12. Adhere to quality standards as defined by each brewery.

Qualifications:

• A High School degree or equivalent
• Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, use of basic tools.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Clean Driving record required.
• Candidate is subject to a physical, Background Check, and pre-employment and random drug testing.
