Dozer/Blade Operator

Job Description:

SWAPP Construction, LLC is seeking skilled, reliable, and efficient Heavy Equipment Operator(s) specifically Dozer and Blade Operator(s) to join our growing team. Pay is based on experience, and ranges from $21-$35 hourly, depending on skill set.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate heavy equipment in a mine/industrial setting.

Essential Functions

Perform duties related to the operation of heavy equipment in support of production including de-watering, materials delivery, maintaining berms, and surface maintenance at a skilled level.

1. May assist with training and mentoring of other equipment operators.

2. Responsible for understanding changes and assigned work areas and any potential hazards.

3. Responsible for knowing the following procedures: start-up and shut-down, parking, mounting and dismounting, LOTOTO, emergency, fire, working with ground personnel, and Blue Stake.

4. Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.

5. Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.

6. Load and unload equipment from trucks.

7. Coordinate with team members and other operators to complete tasks.

8. Understand and follow directions from supervisors.

9. Complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

10. Communicates through two-way radios.

11. Must be able to work in potentially stressful environment

12. Work is performed in a mine or plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in weather, and moving mechanical parts.

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a heavy equipment operator.

3. Knowledge of safe operation of heavy equipment as well as safety guidelines.

3. Ability to work in a team environment.

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Day shift May be required to work a non-standard schedule which may include shift work, overtime in a 24/7/365 operation.
• Monday to Friday 6:00AM-4:00PM

Experience:

• Heavy equipment operation: 2 years (Preferred)
