Summary of Job Duties:
This position reports directly to the Radiation Oncology Clinic Chief Physicist and is responsible for providing physicians and therapists with treatment planning, calculations, quality assurance planning, constructing custom blocks as needed for patient treatment, taking required measurements on patients, consulting with physicians and other therapists in planning and delivering patient treatments and maintaining quality control.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in physics, math or radiation oncology-related curriculum
Completion of an accredited dosimetry program
Certification as a Medical Dosimetrist by the Medical Dosimetry Certification Board (MDCB) within 18 months of hire.
