SUMMARY

The Doorman/Bellhop/Valet role is responsible for providing a positive first and last impression to guests when they arrive and leave the hotel, as well as providing four-star service by parking and retrieving guest vehicles, dropping and picking up guests from the airport, and assisting with baggage.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Park and retrieve guest vehicles in specified areas in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Provide claim check and instruct guest on how to reclaim vehicle.
  • Conduct vehicle damage inspections before each movement of the vehicle.
  • Open passenger doors and help as required.
  • Load and unload luggage carts.
  • Escort guests to rooms.
  • Check/store luggage for arrivals and departures with luggage tags.
  • Maintain current listing of local and area attractions, special events and activities.
  • Maintain list of local transportation guides churches sports arenas etc.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Collaborative attitude.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work proactively and independently while fostering a workplace based on teamwork.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of standing, walking, squatting and lifting extended periods of time.
  • Ability to read, to answer phones, to write emails and other correspondence.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Structure and established policies.

POSITION DETAILS

This position reports to the Assistant General Manager.


Should employee fail to successfully fulfill the 90-day probationary period, the sign-on bonus will be required to be reimbursed in its entirety.
