Donut & Bagel Maker (Part-Time)

As a Full-Time Donut & Bagel Maker at Divergent Donuts, you will play a pivotal role in our production team, utilizing our advanced donut-o-matic to create mouthwatering donuts, baking bagels, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. We are seeking an experienced individual that understands flavor combinations and baking techniques. Responsibilities:

Operate and maintain the donut-o-matic to produce high-quality donuts consistently.

Bake Bagels and coordinate bread making for Sandwich Artists

Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies to support efficient production.

Adhere to strict food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Collaborate with the team to develop innovative donut unique flavors and beautiful designs.

Assist with service or drive through during the morning rush peak hours. (e.g. 6:30am-9:30pm)

Provide friendly and enthusiastic customer service, particularly during party environments and events.

Pay meticulous attention to detail to ensure every donut meets our high standards of quality and presentation.

Assist in the creation of innovative designs and contribute your artistic flair to our products.

Requirements:

- Previous experience working in a bakery, cafe, restaurant or culinary environment is preferred

- Ability to understand what goes into baking a cake or making a yeast donut

- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures

- Ability to operate a donut machine (Donut-O-Matic)

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team

- Flexibility to early mornings, weekends, and some holidays as required

- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)

- Culinary or pastry degree/certification is a plus
