Job Description

• Thrift2Gift is a non-profit Christian thrift store in Cary owned by Seeds of Mustard Ministries, with the mission of helping children and families in crisis situations.
• Valid drivers license and comfortable driving a Box Truck to pick up and deliver furniture
• Ability to pick up heavier items and/or use dolly for furniture pickup/delivery
• Donation processing and sorting
• We are seeking someone who is comfortable sharing their faith and engaging with people of all faith backgrounds. Candidate must have a strong personal walk with Christ and feel a strong call to ministry and discipleship.
• Ability to work with many types of people groups and ages with the goal of sharing our faith in Christ when appropriate with permission and meeting the volunteers where they are in their life
• Candidate will also need strong managerial and communication skills as they will be in charge of leading and directing groups of volunteers and community service workers.
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week which includes helping close the store on at least 3 nights per week as well as work most Saturdays (closed on Sundays)
• Depending on the experience level of candidate this will be a $13-$18 per hour position

Responsibilities and Duties

• Inspect, Train, and Manage small groups of volunteers & community service workers
• Coordinate store objectives with Store Manager
• Assist Warehouse Manager
• Will be personally responsible for certain areas of the store
• All positions include sharing register responsibilities and working with customers
• Take Donations and Sort
• Train volunteers in the areas of sorting and Stocking items
• Responsible for overall look and cleanliness of the warehouse and back room areas
• Responsible for certain areas inside front of store-electronics, mens clothes, household items, etc.Education and Experience:
• Must have a high school diploma or GED at a minimum
• Prefer candidates with minimum of 2 years retail and/or non-profit volunteer experience
• Must be very computer/smart phone proficient. Job requires frequent use of Google Drive, Excel, and other mobile applications

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
• Must be enthusiastic and able to motivate others
• Ability to handle multiple moving components at the same time such as helping clients, directing volunteers, and supervising store processes at the same time
• Must be in good physical condition
• Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record in order to drive a large Box Truck for pickup and deliveries
• Must be able to lift heavy furniture and heavy bins of household items.
