Dog Walker (12 South)

Nashville Dog Walkersis growing their employee-based pet care team. We are a team that believes pets are family(and so are our people)! We are an established and growing pet care business located in Nashville, TN. Our bones and bacon is providing daily exercise, play, and love for dogs from the comfort of their own home(they got it good, don’t they?). We also provide pet sitting and overnight services for most types of domestic animals, including dogs, cats, birds, and more.
Position/Schedule/Location:

• Dog Walker with the ability to care for cats and potentially other animals (fish, birds, small mammals).
• Monday to Friday from 9/10am to 3/4pm. Candidates with additional availability (early mornings/evenings/weekends) will have special consideration.
• We are expanding our team in Downtown, The Gulch, 12 South and Germantown.
• Nashville Dog Walkers services 12 South, Bellevue, Downtown, East Nashville, Germantown, Green Hills, The Gulch, Inglewood, West Nashville, The Nations, and surrounding communities. You would not be expected to work in all of our service areas.

Compensation:

$16 - $18 / hour
$2000 - $3000 / month

The responsibilities:

• Create a safe and positive walking environment for our client's dogs
• Follow the client-provided care instructions, including training preferences.
• Provide detailed and attentive care for our client's cats, birds, fish and other small mammals.
• Give our clients first-class customer service with a personal touch
• Communicate with staff via phone/text and photographs
• Contribute to the team effort by working as a team player
• Practice time management to ensure on-time arrivals for all assigned visits
• The candidate should have an innate desire to care for animals while ensuring their safety.

• Staff who can work independently with the support of our management squad.
• An honest, patient, and enthusiastic employee who can provide our client's dogs and cats with the highest quality visits possible.
• Staff who can build positive professional relationships with our clients and their pets.
• Team players who can go above and beyond for our clients.
• Staff who is comfortable working with a large variety of dogs of different breeds, ages, weights, and energy levels. (We won’t ever make you walk a dog you aren’t comfortable with.)
• Previous professional or volunteer experience with animals is preferred, but a positive attitude and a desire to learn are just as important.
• Staff should have a strong sense of awareness, understanding of safety, and time management.

• Many members of our staff were previously Dog Walkers with on-demand services, doggy daycare staff, dog groomers, or volunteers at a local shelter.
