Form of workPosition Overview: The role of a Dog Attendant is integral to providing a safe, clean, and enriching environment for our furry guests. As a Dog Attendant, you will play a vital part in ensuring the well-being and happiness of the dogs in our care. Your responsibilities will include supervising playtime, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with the overall operations of our facility, contributing to a positive experience for both the dogs and their owners.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):
Supervision
Upholding our mission, vision, and core values
Responsible for ensuring opening and closing checklists are completed
Keeping a positive and motivated attitude through your shift
Regularly communicating with Manager or Shift Lead on issues that arise
Dog Care and Interaction:
Communicating Health Concerns with Pet Retreat Manager or Shift Lead.
Assisting in the completion of baths, nail trims and all other add-on services
Be aware of dog behavior and body language, intervening if any dogs display signs of distress or aggression.
Oversee dogs during playtime, ensuring positive interactions and appropriate play behavior.
Engage with dogs in a friendly and playful manner, providing mental and physical stimulation.
Creating Report Cards that give a detailed outline of each pet's day
Assist with feeding dogs according to their dietary requirements.
Be present in the park and monitor all play and interactions between guests and boarding/daycare dog
Assist with dog assessments
Walk dogs outside for bathroom breaks
Customer Service:
Providing the highest level of customer service to our clients and giving details of their pet's day at pick up
