Duties:
- Perform grooming services on Dogs.
- Provide excellent customer service by listening to and understanding pet owners' grooming requests
- Use proper techniques and tools to groom pets, including bathing, brushing, trimming nails, and styling fur
- Ensure the safety and well-being of pets during the grooming process, including proper animal restraint when necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, including cleaning equipment and disinfecting surfaces
- Communicate with pet owners about their pet's grooming experience and provide recommendations for at-home care
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in pet grooming or related field is preferred
- Strong knowledge of different grooming techniques for various breeds of dogs
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
- Knowledge of animal behavior and ability to properly handle and restrain animals during grooming procedures
- Familiarity with basic animal care practices, including feeding, bathing, and administering medications
- Experience or knowledge in equine grooming is a plus
- Certification or training in veterinary assistance or dog training is a plus
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
