Dog Groomer (Entry Level Mentorship)

AZ Pet Grooming Academy now has positions available for Groomers looking to elevate their grooming skills! We're looking for some great groomers to join us, groom with us, and receive guidance from our Instructors and Grooming Managers to grow your grooming skills.

Position Overview:As an Entry-Level Pet Groomer, you will have the unique opportunity to receive comprehensive training and development to hone your grooming skills. We are dedicated to nurturing talent, and this position is designed for individuals who are excited about grooming but may not have extensive professional experience. Our experienced team will guide you through the ropes, ensuring you become a skilled and confident pet groomer.

Responsibilities:

• Bathe, brush, and groom pets according to breed standards and client preferences.
• Learn and implement safe handling and restraint techniques.
• Develop proficiency in nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other basic grooming tasks.
• Collaborate with experienced groomers to expand your grooming knowledge and skills.
• Provide excellent customer service by understanding and meeting the unique needs of each pet and their owner.
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area.

Qualifications:

• Passion for working with animals and a genuine interest in the art of pet grooming.
• Ability to work well in a team and open to constructive feedback.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new grooming techniques.
• Basic understanding of pet behavior and body language.

• Advanced Grooming Technique Classes: learn how to groom cats, hand scissoring, breed cuts, poodle trims, westie patterns, creative coloring, etc.

This incredible opportunity is available for Pet Stylists with a minimum of 6 months experience. You will work alongside our Grooming Team at our Twin Tails Cageless Grooming salon located at 67th Avenue and Happy Valley Road.

Our one-on-one cageless grooming system allows you to focus on one pet at a time and not be rushed to finish your grooms. Our pet stylists average $25-$40 per hour and receive all credit card and cash tips. We also have a full-time front desk coordinator that answers all phone calls, schedules all appointments, and handles any customer issues. You are not required to take payments or book your own appointments.** No dog quota, you groom at your own speed and what amount of pets you're comfortable with grooming**
