Job description

Bring your dog to work? That’s right! Dogtopia, the industry leader in dog daycare, boarding, and spa services has an immediate opening for an energetic, organized, business-minded individual that will be the first point of contact as a Front Desk Team Member. This position is intended for an individual that can work Monday through Friday each week, with opportunities to pick up additional shifts.

The shift times are: Saturday 7:45am-5:30pm, Sunday 9:45am-5:30pm, Monday-Friday 1:30pm-7:30pm. This person should love dogs, be comfortable selling passes and memberships, and be able to follow directions and a strict script on how to speak to clients. This position is fast paced, you must be able to adapt and be flexible at whatever challenges are thrown your way. Being organized and efficient is a must. Requirements are at least 1 year of receptionist/ Front Desk experience. Upon successful completion of training, you can even bring YOUR dog to work with you as long as they pass their meet and greet! What a bonus!

Responsibilities:

Customer Service and Presentation

  • Maintains a neat and organized Front Desk team and area at all times.
  • Sets the example for the team on the 3 S's (smile, story and satisfaction) and hold accountable to internal and external customer service standards.
  • Always treating our guests and Pet Parents with a 5 Star Service
  • Strive for high customer review ratings!

Daily Duties

  • Provide excellent customer service to existing and prospective clients
  • Greeting Pet Parents warmly and promptly as they enter the lobby
  • Answers the multi-line phone system, takes messages and communicates messages in a timely manner
  • Giving tours and performing Meet & Greets, answering any Pet parent questions and ensuring accurate data entry for vaccination records
  • Scheduling services for dogs accurately
  • Checking in a boarding dog: confirming out date and pick-up time, spa services, emergency contact, feeding instructions, any medications required, noting every belonging brought and labeling everything accordingly
  • Checking in and out daycare dogs, checking appropriate spa services for departure
  • Maintains a neat and organized Front Desk team and area at all times. This includes holding team to professional clean dress
  • Make copies, receive and send emails as well as monitor confidential information that may be received through phone calls, emails, or in person
  • Proficient in POS software (training to be provided)
  • Record health and behavioral notes accurately in daily activity log and communicate those with both shifts
  • Setting the highest standards and satisfaction of our customers
  • Strive for high customer review ratings!
  • Utilize the 3 S system consistently with customers SMILE, STORY, SATISFACTION to set the example for the team
