Dog Daycare Attendant

The Doghouse provides Dog Daycare, overnight boarding, and grooming services in a new state-of-the-art facility. This unique position provides fun, energetic and organized dog lovers the opportunity to be the star of the show in a fun, fast paced work environment!

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• General care for our daycare or boarded guests including monitoring, feeding, watering, medicating, exercising, and cleaning up after guests (inside and out), and cleaning suites and runs.
• Bringing dogs to and from the dog runs and kenneling areas during check-in and check-out times and preparing these areas for the arrival and departure of guests.
• Provide extraordinary customer service and maintain a practical knowledge of The Doghouse’s procedures, services, and policies.
• Every team member should always maintain a professional demeanor, use appropriate terminology and support ownership, management and fellow team members at all times.
• Bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, carrying, standing/walking for long periods of time, typing, writing, balancing, twisting, squatting and rotating throughout the day.
• Occasional restraining dogs up to 200 pounds intermittently, lift animals up to 40 pounds and lift animals over 40 pounds with help. Lifting items up to 40 pounds is also common.
• Ability to maintain an alertness level to keep safe from possible danger, use the powers of keen observation for guest care, problem solve and the ability to make rational and effective decisions.
• Be prepared and willing to offer assistance to other team members and ask for assistance when needed.
• Assist dogs in environmental acclimation and assist with behavior modification exercises as needed and as directed by supervisors.
• Supervise dog social interactions for safety. Interact with guests in cheerful and appropriate manner.
• Routinely check safety and security of dog runs and kennel areas.
• Greet clients promptly and cheerfully, provide useful and upbeat/positive, polite feedback regarding their pet’s care and stay.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
