Dog Daycare Attendant

Han Dover Your Rover is looking for Dog Daycare Attendants to join our team!

Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to work with our dogs in an upbeat, social environment. You will be responsible for regular care of the dogs while out in group play, providing them with company and exercise. As a Dog Daycare Attendant, we expect you to show an interest in dogs and a desire to build a career in this fast-growing field. Ultimately, we expect you to be active, responsible, and comfortable around dogs as well as people.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays
• Must be able to lift at least 45 pounds
• Must be able to follow instructions in a timely manner
• Must be reliable, trustworthy, and responsible
• Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and fellow dog owners
• Must be able to work as part of a team in a kennel environment
• Must be able to follow instructions regarding feeding times, food quantity, etc.
• Must be able to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities:

• Organize and maintain a safe, sanitary environment for pets.
• Keeping the dogs entertained, safe, and happy.
• Making sure every dog has water at all times.
• Qualify and complete basic dog handling training.
• Being alert to body language changes or any injuries/health concerns.
• Cleaning up dog messes, such as urine and feces.
• Execute a routine to clean and sanitize the facility throughout the day.
• Prevent conflict with other dogs, including barking, fighting or growling.
• Giving dogs baths, nail trims, etc. This may include lifting larger dogs.
• Handling dogs of all sizes and walking them throughout the facility.
• Feeding dogs.
• Setting up dog lodging areas.
• Assist customers in picking up or dropping off their pets.
• Extra tasks as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
