Job Summary
Dog Days, Dog Daycare and hotel, is looking for a full time experienced, dog loving Handler. We are a professional, very busy environment. We have two playrooms and a large outdoor dog park, where all of our dogs are socialized, exercised, and given plenty of love and attention from our caring knowledgeable staff. We hold high standards for cleanliness and professionalism in our facility, and expect each employee to do the same
JOB DUTIES
*Supervising and interacting with large groups (40-60+) of dogs in a safe positive manner
*Cleaning indoor and outdoor play areas daily
*Basic grooming of dogs (baths, brush outs, nail trims)
*Feeding and medicating dogs
*Customer service and general office duties
*Handling many different types of dogs with varying temperaments and personalities.
REQUIREMENTS
*1 year professional experience working with dogs preferred
*Knowledge of dogs and dog body language
*Strong customer service skills
*Hard worker, and self starter
*Ability to work alone or within a team
*Ability to communicate effectively to coworkers and management
*Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time, there is no sitting in this job
*All applicants must be over 18 years of age
*Applicants will be required to work weekends, holidays, early mornings and evenings. Shifts start as early as 6 AM, and end as late as 8 PM during busy times.
*Please note this job is physically demanding. It is not just playing with dogs, you will be doing a lot of cleaning, picking up waste, and standing for long periods of time.
