Dog Day Care Attendant

Canine and Company is currently seeking part time Dog Daycare Attendants. We are a full service Day Spa/ Grooming Salon/Boarding/ Dog Daycare facility. It is our utmost priority to ensure that all our clients and their families enjoy a comfortable , happy, and safe experience during their time with us. This is a fun and challenging position that requires associates to be on their feet the majority of their shift. If you have a passion for working with dogs and don't mind getting a little furry and dirty this could be the job for you!

• Previous experience working with dogs is required !

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greeting and assisting clients with Boarding and/or Daycare activities.
• Monitoring canine clients behavior at all times to ensure a safe environment.
• Overseeing and interacting with dogs during fitness and playtime activities. Our facility has both outdoor and indoor play areas for our canine clients.
• Cleaning of kennel and play/fitness areas, follow sanitation guidelines, disinfecting/scrubbing of pet surfaces (cleanup of accidents our clients may have).
• Daycare Attendants would be responsible for supervision and care of multiple dogs and key areas of the daycare facility.
• Rotating groups of dogs for activities including play time, nap time, etc.. Must be able to follow assigned schedules.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• The successful candidate must be detail oriented and have excellent communication skills.
• Fun position that requires multitasking.
• The candidate must have the confidence to handle nervous, shy, or aggressive dogs if the need arises.
• Candidates must possess the ability to monitor our canine customers for signs of disease or distress.
• Heavy lifting may be required at times.
• Great emphasis on social development and making sure the dogs have fun.
• Must love dogs!
• Knowledge of dog behavior.
• Previous experience working with dogs is required !

JOB TYPE: Full Time/Part time

EDUCATION: High /School /Diploma

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 37.5 per week
