Resident will focus on how to build and utilize Kubernetes deployments in effort to update company applications. A deployment allows you to describe an application's life cycle, such as which images to use for the app, the number of pods there should be, and the way in which they should be updated. In addition to Kubernetes, resident will learn Docker Build which is one of Docker Engine's most used features. Whenever creating an image you are using Docker Build. Build is a key part of software development life cycle allowing packaging and bundling code and ship it anywhere. Docker Build is more than a command for building images, and it's not only about packaging code. It's a whole ecosystem of tools and features that support not only common workflow tasks but also provides support for more complex and advanced scenarios. Resident will also train on Ansible Automation. Ansible is a suite of software tools that enables infrastructure as code. It is open-source and the suite includes software provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment functionality. Resident will train on PaaS which is PaaS, or Platform-as-a-Service, provides a complete, flexible, and cost-effective cloud platform for developing, running, and managing applications. Another practice the Resident will learn is the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) is a set of organizational and workflow patterns for implementing agile practices at an enterprise scale. The framework is a body of knowledge that includes structured guidance on roles and responsibilities, how to plan and manage the work, and values to uphold. in addition to all of this training, the resident will also train on DoD Acquisitions and assist with building the company roadmap application and automation projects.
