Maine Public Employees Retirement System (MainePERS) seeks a Document Specialist to join the Document Center Team. The Document Specialist maintains the quality and integrity of the records management process at Maine Public Employees Retirement System. The incumbent works under the direction of the Document Center Supervisor to oversee the work processes of the Document Center based upon established criteria in order to assure rapid and accurate fulfillment of MainePERS internal customer requests. The incumbent is responsible for directing the unit’s work processes and personnel, for assuring quality standards are met, and for the proper functioning of scanning equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS:*
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in MS Office suite.
- Proficient in Excel at the Intermediate level
- Six (6) years of experience performing complex clerical, or technical work that includes three (3) years of the following in any combination:
- MainePERS employment
- Experience working with electronically stored records
- Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to travel within the state; valid driver’s license and maintenance of a good driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration or Information Management.
- Experience using and maintaining an electronic records scanning system.
- Leadership experience.
