Aeroflow Healthcare - Revenue Cycle Support Document Specialist
Location: This position reports to our Asheville, NC Corporate office

The Opportunity
Within Aeroflow, the Revenue Cycle Support team is comprised of 10 Team Members.
  • Corporate oversight of Revenue Cycle Functions - Eligibility, Authorizations, Claims Transmissions, Rejections, Denials, Underpayments, Recoups, Payment Posting and Reconciliation, Patient Billing.
  • Support Business Unit Billing Teams and Sales Teams to Maximize Receipts and Collection Percentage.
  • Cross Functional Team with Comprehensive Understanding of Revenue Cycle Functions.

Your Primary Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a Document Specialist. The RCS Document Specialist is typically responsible for
  • Managing all incoming and outgoing mail for the company at the corporate office location as well as coordinating with remote offices. Ensures the processing and postage of all outgoing material within twenty-four (24) hours. Ensures all incoming mail is opened, sorted and distributed within the week it is received.
  • Creating, entering, and maintaining reports, databases, and filing systems for accurate and efficient recordkeeping.
  • Scanning and distribution of documents/packages to teams within the organization.
  • Processing of documents from payer portals
  • Coordination with Revenue Cycle, Strategic Partnerships and Finance related to EFT / ERA enrollment opportunities / documentation.
  • Maintain mailroom supplies and assist remote offices with supply needs.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long hours.
  • Answer the doorbell for deliveries and manage vendor relationships.
  • Maintain HIPAA/patient confidentiality
  • Employee has an individual responsibility for knowledge of and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Compliance is a condition of employment and is considered an element of job performance
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of revenue cycle functions, medical insurance terminology and the ability to interpret an explanation of benefits (EOB).
  • Analytical: this role requires the ability to identify trends and core issues and report them to supervisor and stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with exceptional attention to detail and proven track record in achieving productivity goals.
  • Demonstrates ability to learn computer applications as they relate to job duties and proficiency in the practice management system.
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner, multitask and maintain a positive teamwork attitude.

Desired Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle preferred
  • Familiarity with Insurance Correspondence
  • Audit / Compliance experience
  • Strong decision-making skills
