Central Transport is currently seeking part time Dock Workers to fill immediate openings at our facility in Phoenix AZ!!
Position Available:
Shifts Available: AM
Loading/unloading and general care of customer freight. Light facility cleanliness/maintenance duties
Starting Pay: $19.00
Job Requirements:
· The ability to perform freight handling duties with a manual pallet jack/fork lift
· The ability to follow instructions, either while working independently, or as part of a team
· Ability to work various shifts/nights/weekends
· Willingness/Ability to pass a drug screen , physical and background check

Job Description:
Central Transport is looking for a Dock Worker to join our team. The primary purpose of this position is to move and transport containers in a safe and timely manner.
Essential Functions:
- Move containers in a safe and timely manner, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Assist in loading, unloading, and moving containers.
- Check the load for damage or defects, before and after loading.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Keep dock secure by following safety guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills:
- Must have valid CA Dock Worker license or ability to obtain one in a timely manner.
- Must be able to work on your feet for 8-10 hours a day, with occasional lifting of containers weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to follow instructions and learn new procedures.
- Must be able to work independently and with a team.
- Great attendance, with regular attendance being key for promotion.
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow through effectively with customers and co-workers.
- General computer skills, with attention to detail required for this position.
- Previous experience in handling customer goods preferred.
