Dock Loader/Warehouse Picker- (Bilingual Spanish -Preferred)

Summary

The Dock Loader/Warehouse Picker is a versatile role responsible for managing shipping and receiving activities at our warehouse while also performing picking duties. This position is critical in ensuring the efficient flow of goods and maintaining accurate inventory levels.

Responsibilities

· Receive incoming shipments, verify their contents against packing lists, and inspect for any damage or discrepancies.

· Report and document any issues with received goods promptly.

· Update inventory records and accurately input data into warehouse management systems.

· Assist in organizing and maintaining the warehouse layout for easy product access.

· Prepare outgoing shipments, including packing, labeling, and arranging carriers or freight services.

· Ensure that shipments comply with shipping regulations and customer requirements.

· Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and warehouse team members to coordinate shipments, receipts, and storage.

· Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities.

· Generate reports related to inventory levels and logistics operations as needed.

Warehouse Picker Duties

· Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently using handheld scanners or picking lists.

· Ensure that the correct quantity and quality of products are selected for shipment.

· Inspect picked items for quality and completeness before packing and shipping.

· Report any damaged or missing items to supervisors.

· Adhere to safety protocols, guidelines, and procedures while performing picking and warehouse duties.

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Six months of experience in shipping/receiving operations preferred.

· Ability to operate various types of materials handling equipment, including hand trucks, pallet jacks, standard forklifts, and order-picker forklifts when needed.

· Strong reading and communication skills.

· Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to a specified weight limit) and work in various temperature conditions.

· Maintains physical stamina and strength required to move heavy equipment and products weighing up to 75 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour
