The DMV/Title Clerk handles information regarding motor vehicle registration and processes legal documents and other state-required documents. Title Clerks are administratively adept and organized with handling files and maintaining documents. The ideal candidate will have previous experience processing Motor Vehicle paperwork in a car or RV dealership, and a working knowledge of DMV Regulations and Procedures. Must be detail-oriented and have excellent communication skills.
Job Duties:
- Must hold customer satisfaction and quality to its highest standards.
- Process documents for state registration, fill out the proper paperwork and ensure that tax and title documents are completed.
- Send bills, contracts, warranties and service contracts to the appropriate agencies.
- Check for accuracy in all documents and checks for completeness and signatures on all required parts of forms.
- Checks accuracy of vehicle sale and purchase prices.
- Organize and maintain file of sale, prices, payments, warranties, service contracts and other pertinent information related to the sale or transfer of a vehicle.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a car or RV dealership preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Self-motivated, able to effectively prioritize tasks and organize schedules.
- Working knowledge of Motor Vehicle Regulations and Procedures.
- Ability to handle discrepancies or other issues in a professional manner.
- Ability to pass DMV's screening process (in states where it is required).
- Pass drug testing, background investigation/interview.
