SalaryWilmington, DE - Nemours Children’s Health, Delaware seeks a renowned and accomplished physician scientist to become the new Division Chief, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/Transplant andCellular Therapy (TCT). The new Division Chief, reporting to the Chair of Pediatrics, will lead the division, serve as Director of the Lisa Dean Moseley Foundation Institute for Cancer and Blood Disorders and hold the $5 million Lisa Dean Moseley Foundation Endowed Chair in Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders. The Division Chief will work with the Chair of Pediatrics to direct the distribution of $30 million in endowed research funds. More than just a new name, the newly formed Lisa Dean Moseley Foundation Institute for Cancer and Blood Disorders (https://www.nemours.org/well-beyond-medicine/the-moseley-institute.html) will drive new opportunity for pediatric cancer and blood disorder care at NCH. The foundation has pledged a $78 million donation in the support of new programs that improve ways to treat pediatric cancer and blood disorders.
The Division Chief, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/TCT will be instrumental in leading and expanding the current program both clinically and scientifically. He/she will build upon a group with a strong foundation and history. NCH and the Moseley Foundation Institute are committed to providing comprehensive state-of-the-art patient care. He/she will lead and build the current division, enhance current research and clinical trials, and grow the program through the recruitment of new faculty and superior clinical practice.
This leader should have a robust track record of scientific, clinical, and academic success; proven leadership skills to collaborate and build a successful interdisciplinary patient-centered program; and experience and ability leading clinical trials in medical oncology. An established track record of extramural funding and ongoing work in cancer research is preferred.
