This position may be filled remotely, or in any of our locations.

The Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DE&I) Coordinator supports the successful execution and evolution of DE&I Programs & Communications through various project coordination and administrative duties. This person maintains and fosters shared, high standards of customer service and stewardship with the goal of deepening DE&I engagement, knowledge, and relationships. They collaborate with DE&I and Firm colleagues in proactively executing and evolving workflows, from a growth mindset. This work is dynamic and duties will shift as we continue to advance and expand our DE&I initiatives. Essential functions include:

  • Provides administrative support and independently oversees projects as assigned by the DE&I Manager – Programs & Communications, Director of DE&I and Chief DE&I Officer.
  • Proactively develops, maintains, enhances and leverages resources and processes for meaningful HB participation in and/or leadership of DE&I-related events.
  • Coordinates annual Firm sponsorships and participation in DE&I-related conferences.
  • Coordinates annual Firm internal and external DE&I-hosted learning events.
  • Identifies cohorts and attendees in partnership with Firm leadership and employee resource groups.
  • Coordinates registration, hotel and travel plans with relevant support team colleagues .
  • Ensures pre-conference/event training and support are in place.
  • Coordinates HB conference captains, attendees, and alumni/client experiences during conferences.
  • Reports return on Firm investment in DE&I-related conferences and learning events to inform future participation and planning.
  • Maintains list of all DE&I-related conference attendees and coordinates additional program opportunities to ensure equity.
  • Updates and ensures accuracy of DE&I content on Firm intranet, including Firmwide calendar, department information and resources, and more
  • Supports communication materials development, as needed.
  • Performs additional duties as needed.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • At least two (2) years’ experience required at an administrative level.
  • Experience coordinating events and meeting logistics preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Good independent judgment.
  • Keen attention to details.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and assignments while delivering quality work product.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including MS PowerPoint, MS Word and MS Teams.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to travel to other offices and events, as needed (approx. 2-3 times per year).

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Employees are entitled to compensation commensurate with skill and experience. The exact compensation will vary based on skills, experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. The expected compensation ranges for this position in various states and jurisdictions are as follows:

  • State of California: $43,000 - $83,000
  • State of Colorado: $40,000 - $71,000
  • Jersey City, NJ: $47,000 - $85,000
  • State of Massachusetts: $43,000 - $83,000
  • State of New York: $40,000 - $87,000
  • State of Washington: $42,000 - $80,000

The above salaries do not include a discretionary bonus, however bonus opportunities are non-guaranteed, and are dependent upon individual and firm performance.
