Ditch Rider

Nampa & Meridian Irrigation District has an immediate opening for a Ditch Rider. This is a full time year round position. MUST Live within the southwest Nampa area.

A ditchrider conducts the delivery of irrigation water as requested and according to the water rights. Operates gates, checks, turnouts, and wasteways to regulate waterflow. Experience with outside work, heavy equipment usage, and previous work with welding and cutting tools is a plus.

Summer Hours:
April to September
This position requires a variable time commitment during water season. You may be subject to being on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week due to the unknowns of the irrigation season.

Winter Hours:
October to March (Four 10 hour days/ per week)
Mon - Thu 7:00 am - 5:30 pm

-REQUIREMENTS-
Drug testing
Class A CDL (within 6 months)
Clean driving record and background check
Able to lift 75 Lbs
District vehicle provided
MUST Live within the south Nampa area
Construction experience is helpful but not necessary
