Job Title: District Manager, Longtown RW&S District #1
Location: Pittsburg County, OK
Level/Salary: Competitive Salary based on experience including an attractive benefits package.
Position Type: Full Time Plant and Field Manager
Summary: Maintain and supervise all aspects of our water plant production and field maintenance.
Essential Functions:
Exercises daily planning of operations and management of the water district.
Managing and supervision of all staff.
Provides operational and technical updates with recommendations brought to the Board of Directors.
Provides expert technical guidance and assistance on water plant systems design and infrastructure growth matters, staying in policy with our company by-laws.
Interfaces with contractors, vendors, and engineers to ensure all required quotes, inventory and specifications are being inspected and procedures are being followed
Creates, implements, and manages predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance plans for all systems, buildings, and equipment.
Hiring and training of all field personnel.
Attending all board meetings with a detailed monthly status report on our system as well as recommendations for improvements.
Direct and open line of communication with staff and the board to implement and create a good working environment.
Develops and updates Standard Operating Procedures.
Maintain strategic planning and implementing of processing procedures for water production and routine maintenance of our system.
Prepare and lead weekly staff meeting, covering safety and scheduled required maintenance of our system.
Ensure all reports and tests are performed and documented to stay within D.E.Q. compliance.
Collaborate with office personnel and the budget committee to create an annual budget in preparation for the budget meeting.
Monitors status on expenses to stay within approved budget.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field of study or equivalent work experience in water production system, coupled with project management experience.
Current Department of Environmental Quality Operator certifications.
Vast knowledge and experience of Department of Environmental Quality rules and regulations.
Ability to innovate and implement techniques to improve water quality and reduce water loss to a minimum.
Well-developed management skills to include communication, delegation, and supervision.
Must be proficient with computer skills and software programs necessary to perform plant data analysis as well as maintaining all D.E.Q. compliance forms.
Organizational skills, multi-tasking, email, and verbal communication.
Ability to be on-call for plant emergencies as well if on- call field personnel needs assistance.
