TITLE: Delivery Driver JOB STATUS: Non-exempt REPORTS TO: Director of Food Service SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None OBJECTIVE: Performs daily loading, delivery and pick up of food items, supplies, and mail between various USD #368 buildings and ensures safe operation of vehicle. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Regular and predictive attendance in accordance with assigned work schedule;Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and good judgment;Delivers food items, supplies, mail, and other items, as needed, between designated campus buildings;Selects product for loading and deliveries to designated buildings;Unloads incoming deliveries, verifies accuracy of delivery, and follows proper labeling and storage process;Pulls stock based on production records and maintains order of freezer, refrigerator and dry storage areas;Follows all federal, state, and local food service mandates, including, but not limited to the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) food safety system;Maintains vehicle, equipment and facilities in a neat, clean, safe and sanitary condition;Follows all Federal, State, and local safety laws, rules, and regulations;Attends mandatory training sessions;Performs other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:Ability to operate equipment, as required;Requires prolonged standing;Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull or push heavy objects or materials of up to 50 pounds individually;Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull or push heavy materials up to 60 pounds with assistanceRequires stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, and turning;Ability to work around fumes and odors; andAbility to work in a noisy and crowded environment, with numerous interruptions; KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Knowledge of safe vehicle operating techniques and standards;Knowledge of safe and effective truck loading and unloading techniques and practices;Ability to work effectively with fellow workers and others;Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions; MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalent; or an equivalent combination of training and experience that indicates ability to perform required duties; andMust have valid driver's license.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Required to work in a variety of school settings and must be willing to adjust work strategies to accommodate school limitations.
