Distribution Service Representative

Position requirement: On-site (New Berlin, NY) Monday through Friday

YOUR PURPOSE AND FUNCTION IN OUR COMPANY:

The Distribution Services Representative will work to provide an exceptional experience to our valued internal and external customers by processing transactions and delivering services for high-touch and high-volume transactions and interactions of lower to medium complexity within the Business Services Unit (BSU), a single enterprise organization of shared services.

The Distribution Services Representative will possess skills within a specific function of Account Management, Claims Support & Medical Coding, Commercial Lines Policy Administration, Contact Center, Distribution Services, or Personal Lines Policy Administration.

The Distribution Services Representative will:

• Work 100% of the time in the office
• Learn all of the routine transactions within assigned function and be able to work independently within 6-12 months.
• Sort and collate mail
• Assist with resolving issues with incorrect and returned mail
• Receive outgoing mail and apply correct postage
• Process outgoing shipments (UPS, Fed-Ex)
• Place mail in bins and carry/push to departments for distribution
• Inspects mail prepared for scanning
• Uses the Image Scanner to scan original documents
• Transfers and indexes scanned images to document storage portals
• Write, types, and enters information into computer via MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook or other departmental systems, using keyboard, to prepare documents or reports
• Follow established SOP's and provide continuous improvement feedback to SOP's.
• Meet individual goals within defined KPI's and SLA's.
• Escalate issues and non-routine transactions to supervision as appropriate;

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma required.
• 2+ years' work experience required, with related experience in the insurance industry strongly preferred.
• Experience with various technology platforms utilized by Preferred Mutual including but not limited to Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.) desired.

The base pay range for this position is $17.00 to max $21.25 paid on an hourly basis. The rate offered to any candidate will be reflective of the candidate’s experience and any relevant education, certification, or qualifications related to their ability to perform the responsibilities of this position as permitted by law.
