Job Description
Our Distribution Center Associate is primarily responsible for carrying out the logistics of receiving, processing, storing, shipping, and delivering inventory according to customer orders and inter-company orders.
  • Pay: Hourly, based on experience and qualifications
  • Type: Full-Time, 40hrs per week
  • Shift: Weekday, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
  • Location: In person. TSI Truck Parts, 1445 Brookville Way, Ste L, Indianapolis, IN 46239

Truck Service, Inc provides medium and heavy-duty vehicle repair, service, and parts for all makes and models with multiple locations in Indiana, Ohio, and Florida. We pride ourselves in customer service and being experts especially in heavy-duty suspension, brakes, and steering systems. Our customers include owner-operators, fleets, refuse, schools, construction, emergency services, government agencies, and more with vehicles such as Class 3-8 trucks (semi's, fire trucks, dump trucks, box trucks, refuse trucks, etc), buses, recreational vehicles (RVs), trailers, and pick-up trucks. Our Indianapolis Distribution Center, under the name TSI Truck Parts, has approximately 10,000 square feet of warehouse space and is equipped with pallet rack, one dock door, one drive-in door, a sit-down forklift, and a man-up order picker (when stationary the standing driver elevates up to approx. 15 ft).

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support a safety-first culture, SAFETY IS NO ACCIDENT
  • Positively, professionally, and effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, team members, and management
  • Responsible for timely and accurate receipt of inbound inventory
  • Responsible for timely and accurate fulfillment of customer and inter-branch orders
  • Receiving, put-away, and picking of inventory items utilizing warehouse equipment such as a sit-down forklift, man-up order picker, and/or push cart
  • Delivery of customer and inter-branch orders with a company owned pick-up truck, utility van, or box truck
  • Assist with inventory management administrative items such as creating accurate purchase orders, inter-branch orders, cycle counts, etc
  • Assist with organization, preparation, and execution of timely supplier returns
  • Participate in physical inventory and cycle counts
  • Participate in development and execution of process improvements
  • Maintain awareness of condition and maintenance of equipment and vehicles
  • Basic housekeeping of warehouse areas
  • Become proficient with the inventory and order management software and PC skills (email, documents, internet navigations) as it relates the to the duties and responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or Distribution Center operation
  • Ability to lift and manipulate materials and packages up to 50lbs
  • Ability to read and interpret orders and packing lists
  • Ability and willingness to operate or learn to operate warehouse equipment such as a sit-down forklift and man-up order picker
  • Average PC skills for email, documents, and internet navigation
