Distribution Associate

Hourly rate $18.73 We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Distribution Center Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our distribution center, focusing on tasks such as driving a forklift, receiving and shipping goods, and conducting cycle counting. Your responsibilities

  • 1. Forklift Operation:
    • Safely operate a forklift to move, stack, and organize products within the distribution center.
    • Load and unload trucks, ensuring the proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
  • 2. Receiving:
    • Receive incoming shipments, verifying the accuracy of products against packing slips and purchase orders.
    • Inspect and report any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues to the appropriate personnel.
    • Label and place received items in designated storage locations.
  • 3. Shipping:
    • Prepare orders for shipping, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and labeling of products.
    • Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and ensure timely shipments.
    • Maintain shipping records and documentation.
  • 4. Cycle Counting:
    • Conduct regular cycle counts of inventory to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
    • Collaborate with the shift management to reconcile discrepancies and update inventory records.
  • 5. Warehouse Organization:
    • Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
    • Participate in periodic inventory audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Your background

    • Min 6 months experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or distribution center setting.
    • Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes.
    • Ability to perform accurate and efficient cycle counting.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high inventory accuracy.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
    • Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management.
    • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects.
    • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
