Job description

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for ensuring that our medical marijuana dispensary patients receive outstanding individualized and patient-centered service in all their interactions with our dispensaries, which are licensed under the Delaware Medical Marijuana Program (MMP).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

● Ensuring that each patient enjoys an outstanding patient-centered experience;

● Engender a low-pressure, approachable environment for all patients visiting the dispensary.

● Maintain up-to-date and facile grasp on all product offerings and apply knowledge to match products with the needs and preferences of each patient.

● Schedule patient appointments and maintain the dispensary appointment calendar;

● Overseeing and performing patient intake process, including ensuring that all customers are registered MMP prior to entry or scheduling, and documenting patient visits and transactions consistent with company policies;

● Greeting and engaging patient clients upon entry of service floor with sensitivity to meet each patient’s level of comfort, knowledge and need for service;

● Arranging for and following up after patient consultations with dispensary health care professionals as appropriate;

● Ensuring that each patient encounter begins with the patient’s particular circumstances, needs and preferences;

● Consulting with and deferring to health care professionals for medical advice and decision-making;

● Providing patients with guidance cannabis strains, prices, and the use of related accessories, with consultation of company medical professionals as necessary;

● Explaining product label information to patients;

● Confirming patient purchase amount before dispensing medicine;

● Dispense medicine per recommendation of counselor and patient request;

● Assisting patients with and processing all transactions for sale of products via cash, credit card and any other form of payment accepted by the company;

● Assisting with fulfillment of online pre-orders and orders for curbside and home delivery as directed;

● Accurately and efficiently receiving, processing, and fulfilling patient orders by utilizing the Point of Sale (POS) and inventory tracking systems in compliance with AYR Wellness, local and state policies.

● Communicating with non-patients, e.g., sales representatives, vendors, etc. to ensure effective dispensary operations;

● Maintaining knowledge of and compliance with company policies and procedures and state dispensary regulations;

● Routinely inspecting products for quality and compliance (including the maintenance of proper packaging and labeling)

● Preventing, detecting and reporting diversion of marijuana products and other company property;

● Communicating relevant information or messages to management;

● Maintaining consistent standards of excellence;

● Maintaining clean and orderly workstations and display cases;

● Labeling all medicine containers with test results consistent with company policies and procedures

● Reconciling register drawer cash and debit receipts at the opening and closing of each business day;

● Emailing patient purchase receipts upon request;

● Respect and protect patient confidentiality and related rights through compliance with company privacy and data security policies and procedures;

● Communicating patient concerns to Dispensary Manager;

● Perform other duties as assigned by management and otherwise comply with company policies and procedures and MMP regulations; and

● Contributing to a safe, respectful, tolerant, and supportive environment for co-workers and patients, free of discrimination, hostility, and abuse.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior experience in Cashier, Customer Service, and/or Sales environments.
  • Ability to process orders through computer systems and point-of-sale systems.
  • High School diploma
  • Delaware residency
  • State and company background clearances
