Job Description:
The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a reliable and professional Switchboard Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating the switchboard console, directing calls, and providing exceptional service to both internal and external callers. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have strong communication skills, we encourage you to apply.
The Work:
- Operate the switchboard console PC, using call answering software to direct internal and external callers to the appropriate extension.
- Utilize functions of the physician answering service.
- Monitor life safety and environmental alarms, announcing codes as advised.
- Be available for on-call responsibilities as needed.
- Dispatch security personnel.
- Assist with scheduling for all departments.
You Have:
- At least 1 year of experience in switchboard operation, office work, or customer service is preferred (but not required).
- Prior experience operating a multi-line telephone system is a plus.
- Strong grammar and spelling skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
