Job description

Dispatcher/Switchboard

Cedar Crest College is seeking an experienced Dispatcher/Switchboard operator to answer and redirect emergency and non-emergency calls, monitor radio and surveillance systems, monitor alarm systems, dispatch officers, send out emergency notifications to the college community and contact appropriate off-campus emergency response personnel as necessary. This position must work well with law enforcement in ensuring the safety of the campus community. This position is responsible for excellent customer service, confidentiality, and remaining composed in difficult situations.

A high school diploma or GED is required. The successful candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Availability and willingness to work evenings and weekends is required.
