Job Overview

The Dispatch Clerk is a frontline member of the Sales & Customer Service team, consistently engaging with customers (homeowners, contractors and distributors) on a regular basis. They are responsible for answering questions regarding products, taking orders, creating invoices and scheduling deliveries. This role requires a friendly customer service driven individual, who is a fast learner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive and professional attitude toward customers at all times
• Answer and direct phone calls
• Retain product knowledge to answer customer inquiries
• Correspond with customers and take orders (in-person, by email, fax and phone).
• Use computer-based program to create work orders and invoices
• Schedule deliveries
• Collect payments
• Order and take inventory on select items
• Any additional duties as required, but not limited to those listed above.

Required Education

• High school diploma

Basic Qualifications

• Speak, read, and write English fluently
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient computer skills - Microsoft Word and Excel
• Basic mathematical skills
• Organizational skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Problem solving and decision making skills
• Ability to multitask
• Friendly disposition

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
