Dispatcher - Emergency Services

Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Must be able to multitask and prioritize. Must have basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Medical Terminology.
Job Summary: Responsible for all non-emergency and emergency requests through person to person contact, phone lines and 911 systems. Responsible for ensuring appropriate persons or services are contracted or dispatched in a timely manner. On average they receive 35 calls per day. They work with a variety of computer programs - CAD; mapping; Optimum; ER Grease Board; 911 phones, in addition to anwering regular phone calls.
Shifts are generally 6a-6p; 6p-6a.
