Job Description
Martin Marietta is looking for a versatile and driven individual to fill our Dispatch Manager role! Daily tasks include communications with customers including contractors and homeowners quoting for material and delivery. Dispatching trucks to internal and external job sites, creating purchase orders for material transfers, and managing four internal drivers.
Essential Functions
- Dispatch and coordination of approximately 150 trucks.
- Working closely with the finance team for internal and external material transfers.
- Assist in staffing specific jobs.
- Managing a team of four internal Teamster drivers following all applicable company policies and collective bargaining agreements.

Work Environment
This position operates 90% of the time in an office setting, and 10% of the time in the field.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position that can require long hours and weekend work, inclusive of calls outside of normal business hours.
Required Education and Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Some experience with dispatch preferred
- Knowledge of systems including Avetta, MS Office Suite, JDE, Apex, E-Rocks
