Description:
Team Elmer’s seeks to fill an opening for a Dispatch Clerk. This position will provide top notch customer service to both internal and external customers on a daily basis. Responsibilities include the ability to perform routine clerical and administrative support in answering telephones, providing customer assistance, scheduling of truck, equipment and/or people as needed, data processing, and record keeping.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Detailed oriented, excellent data entry skills
- Excellent Customer Service and Time Management skills
- Ability to multi task and support the team concept.
- Able to handle a high pace, high pressure environment.

Responsibilities:
- Provide top notch customer service to both internal and external customers
- Answer phones and take orders, fielding calls for estimates and Estimators.
- Checking overnight voicemail messages and emails
- Adaptable to schedule changes and/or emergencies
- Ability to read and understand maps to determine routes and distances for deliveries
- Assist walk-in customers (scale in/out, print tickets on scale computer)
- Arrange and confirm jobs, equipment and/or materials for jobs; create schedule
- Organize truck and aggregate deliveries as well as coordinate activities necessary to prepare accurate billing
- Scan tickets, driver inspections an create work orders
- Execute permits necessary for the transportation of equipment i.e. oversize loads through local governments and the state
- Handle cash box (total box and scan slips for accounting)
- Communicate with Division Mangers, foreman and crew on daily schedules, changes and needs, etc.
- Additional duties as requested or assigned.
