JOB SUMMARY:
Provide administrative support to ETCO dispatchers and department managers. Duties include mid-level administrative tasks. Responsible for driver daily log administration.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Scan, verify and audit driver daily logs.
  • Provide driver hours report to dispatch.
  • Input hours into Excel Overtime spreadsheet.
  • Enter salary and hourly data into payroll program.
  • Input heavy haul loads documentation as received by ETCO dispatchers and customers.
  • Assure that pick up and delivery directions are accurate and typed into the dispatch system in a clear manner.
  • Provide secondary phone support to the assigned dispatcher or permit coordinator.
  • Communicate with supervisor about the status of shipments, problems, delays, and unfilled customer requests.
  • Must maintain awareness of drivers' hours of service.
  • Work safely at all times. Adhere to all applicable safety policies. Comply with all company policies, procedures and standards.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist Transport employees with travel arrangements.
  • Perform other assignments as requested by the supervisor.
  • Perform all other duties as requested by Transport Manager.
  • Work within and promote corporate values.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Must have pleasant, effective interpersonal and written communication skills. and be able to compose written communications with good grammar and correct spelling.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills for internal and customer contact.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Lotus Notes
  • Must be able to type 45 words per minute.
  • Must have alpha and numeric filing skills sufficient for documents, driver logs, and reports.
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Ability to maintain consistent attendance.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write) in English.
