Dishwasher/Steward

The Santa Lucia Preserve is a private community dedicated to appreciating and respecting the area’s natural beauty, geography, history, and cultural setting. We are hiring for a Dishwasher with previous kitchen experience and some English language skills to provide clean dishes, glassware, and flatware for our restaurants while maintaining the highest standards of personal integrity, cleanliness, and sanitation

Work shifts are approx. 2pm - 10.30 pm, weekends and holidays are required. Other duties include:

• Set up and inspect dish machine, report any equipment problems or product needs. Ensure all china, glass, silver and pots and pans are washed, rinsed, and sanitized properly
• Ensure kitchen, storage rooms, reach-in coolers, and walk-in coolers are clean and sanitary as per state of California laws.
• Complete daily cleaning duties as per cleaning charts, including making certain all floors are clean, dry, and free of debris, and complete weekly or bi-weekly cleaning of heavy equipment and ovens.
• Make sure walls, ceilings, and hood vents are clean to the standards of sanitation.
• Complete accurate inventories and ordering as needed for daily production, future preparation and maintenance of all china, glass, and silverware.
• Maintain all kitchen equipment in proper working order, clean and sanitary and provide feedback on any equipment that is not working properly.
• Ensure proper flow of equipment to associates as necessary i.e., sauté pans to cooks, stemware to servers.
