Dishwasher/Busser

Marketplace at Avalon is currently looking for a PART-TIME Dishwasher/Busser to join our team. The PART-TIME Dishwasher/Busser will be responsible for cleaning, transporting, and storing all cleaning, cooking utensils and pots & pans used in the food & beverage operations and vendor outlets. The PART-TIME Dishwasher/Busser will communicate with and attend to guests and coworkers in a positive, friendly, and hospitable manner.

Job Responsibilities:

· Clean and sanitize all dishware, glassware, flatware, pots and pans in the Marketplace.

· Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

· Responsible for the proper sanitation and cleanliness of the kitchen and food preparation area, including ovens, grills, stoves, hoods, fryers, preparation slicers, steam kettles, tables and floors. Assist the culinary team with special requests or priorities as requested by management.

· Assist with the setup and breakdown of banquet events.

· Keep the kitchen clean by sweeping floors and emptying trash.

· Keep immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters.

· Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and effective manner according to company policy and with a sense of urgency.

· Maintain favorable working relationship with all company employees to promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment.

· Assemble/dissemble workstation in a timely manner.

· Maintain general cleanliness of the restrooms.

· Bus and manicure tables throughout the restaurant.

· Communicate any questions, issues, or guest concerns to the management team.

· Clean tables, chairs, trays, etc.

· Report any issues with equipment immediately to supervisor.

· Follow all checklists to perform all necessary tasks required of the position.

· Follow all safety guidelines set out by the Marketplace at Avalon.

Job Requirements:

• At least 1 years’ experience or training as a Busser and/or Dishwasher in a similar style of dining, capacity, and volume.
• Must be at least 16 years old
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays in addition to normal business hours, as needed.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to take direction and work in a team environment.
• Able to solve problems and work calmly and effectively under pressure.
• Self-motivated
• Excellent attendance; must arrive to work on time

Physical Demands of the Job

• Walk and stand throughout the entire shift.
• Frequently reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop, twist, and turn.
• Ability to be exposed to and work with cleaning chemicals.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight on a semi regular basis.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.50 - $15.50 per hour

Shift:

• Day shift
• Evening shift

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
