POSITION: Dishwasher/Attendant

Shifts: Tuesday 11:30a-5:00p, Thursday 12:30p-5:00p, Friday 12:30p-5:30p, some weekends as needed

We are looking for a Dishwasher/Attendant to join our team at our location on East Figueroa Street. Our attendants ensure that we always have clean, sanitized areas and are responsible for maintaining cleaned, stocked kitchenware and drinkware throughout the day.

We LOVE to promote from within, so being an Attendant is a great entry for someone who is new to the restaurant business. This candidate will have the opportunity to grow into higher level positions as we continue to expand.

We use high quality ingredients and rotate our donut flavors to showcase the best of what’s in season. We hold our beverage program in as high regard as we do our donuts, serving Santa Barbara-based Coastal Coffee Collective coffee drinks and locally crafted beer and wine. Attendants are the heart of the kitchen and play an integral role in helping us to run a safe, sanitary business.

SKILLS

*Previous kitchen experience not required- we’ll teach you everything you need to know *Comfortable with physically strenuous and repetitive tasks *Excellent punctuality and reliable transportation to and from work *Friendly attitude & team player are non-negotiables *Meticulous standards of cleanliness *Comfortable working at a fast pace

RESPONSIBILITIES

*Maintain a clean and organized workplace including but not limited to: sweeping, mopping, wiping counters and hauling waste to dumpster at designated times *Keep up a consistent supply of clean kitchenware: wash items by dishwasher or by hand, verify cleanliness and return items to designated areas *Manage the bus tubs located in the barista area *Complete and submit cleaning checklist at designated time *Maintain adequate inventory of dish detergents and cleaning supplies *Other related responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

*Outstanding attention to detail *Ability to inspire co-workers with a positive attitude *Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and some holidays *Ability to work in a standing position for the duration of the shift *Ability to bend, reach, stoop and lift up to 50 pounds *Fluency to read and communicate in English

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Mondays and Wednesdays. Compensation is $16.50 - $23.00/hour.
