Description
We're looking for an energetic and outgoing Dish Boss to join our teams in both Exeter & Portsmouth and help keep everything running smoothly! Full Time or Part Time available.
The Dish Boss contributes to the LANEY & LU experience by ensuring that all plate-ware, glassware and silverware and our surroundings meet the LANEY & LU standard of excellence. As with all team members, the Dish Boss fulfills any other duties the manager, or owner assigns and represent LANEY & LU in a professional manner that demonstrates our values.
Duties include:

• Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Laney & Lu
• Delivery orders within a 5 mile delivery radius
• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using a dishwasher or by hand
• Keep dishwasher clean and immediately report any functional or mechanical problems to the member of Leadership Team on shift
• Monitor dishwasher water and sink temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition
• Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen
• Clean bathrooms, sweep and mop floors, and other cleaning projects as assigned
• Assist with maintenance of outside service area; tables and chairs are orderly, clean and free of debris, area is shovelled, swept or raked as needed
• Follow, complete, and verify work checklists including opening, closing, and periodic maintenance
• Attend all scheduled employee meetings
• Offer suggestions for continuous improvement of operations and/or employee and guest experience
• Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests' needs and support the operation of the restaurant
• Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure excellence in service and efficient operations
• Ensure coverage of all assigned shifts
• Develop and understanding of foods and beveragAes we serve and their nourishing benefits
• Assist with prep lists, stocking packaging/retail items, other similar duties as needed
• Take out garbage, linens, compost and recycling

Requirements

• Ability to work in a hot, wet, humid, and loud environment for long periods of time
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours)
• Ability to lift, reach, bend and stoop
• Positive attitude and willingness work hard
• Ability to safely lift bags, cases and stacks weighing up to 50 pounds at least 30 times per shift
• Accurately deliver orders in a safe and timely manner between the hours of 9am-5pm within a 5 mile radius
• Verify delivery slips to ensure correct order is being delivered to proper address.
• Track milage of deliveries for reimbursement
• Properly follow any delivery instructions listed on delivery slips
• Ensure orders are left in a safe place
