Responsibilities
- Create HAPPIER experience for all guests, members, and coworkers
- Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
- Load and unload dishwashing machines
- Operate the dishwashers and monitor the temperature settings assuring that the wares are being cleaned
- Wash specific items by hand (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots, and delicate china)
- Arrange and store all equipment and plate ware, glasses, silverware according to company guidelines
- Set up workstations before meal prep begins
- Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensils, especially during peak hours
- Check washing machines' operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues
- Disposes of all trash and Cardboard every shift
- Assist with receiving deliveries and storing product
- Maintain a professional and polished appearance and demeanor at all times
- Keep all work surfaces, dish area, and floor clean and Sanitized
- Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor
- Utilizes chemicals according to the Material Safety Data Sheets
Daily Requirements
- Punch in and out in full uniform for each shift
- Thoroughly cleans and maintains the dish machine by following guidelines
- Sorts, washes and restocks all small wares and dining room supplies
- Sweep and Mop all areas of the kitchen that need attending
- Keep all trash containers clean and not overflowing
- Restock and maintain adequate levels of chemical and cleaning supplies for each shift
- Change the water in the machine according to guidelines
Requirements
- Work experience as a Hospitality Dishwasher/ Porter or on Wait Staff
- Demonstrate a friendly, high-energy personality with a positive and team-oriented approach
- Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines
- Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks as needed
- Time management skills
- Attention to detail and sanitation rules
- A high school diploma is a plus
- Able to handle last-minute changes
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, such as staying on your feet, climbing stairs, and carrying heavy objects
- Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the work area and property
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
