DISHWASHER - Part Time, Thursday - Sunday 5p - 9p.

Renton Health & Rehab is hiring immediately for a Dishwasher to join our team! We are looking for someone that is seeking growth and long-term career potential with our organization.

Dishwasher Job Description & Policies

Summary Description:

It is the policy of this center that dishes and other multi-use eating items will be cleaned and sanitized property after each use.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Check to make sure the machine is clean. It should be drained and cleaned after every meal service (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).

2. Turn on the machine and check level of chemicals.

3. Fill the tank(s) with clean water. Make sure the detergent trays and spray nozzles are free from debris.

4. Do not run dishes through until machine has reached proper temperature for your

specific machine per manufacturer's guideline - this may take multiple cycles.

5. Scrape, rinse, or soak items before washing. Pre-soak items that have dried-on

food.

6. Load racks properly and use the racks that are designed for the items to be washed. In gene, the following guidelines should be used for loading the dish racks:

A. Place dishware loosely in dish racks.
B. Cups and glasses shall be inverted.
C. Bowls and mugs shall be inverted in flat racks. An extra, empty rack or open grate may be needed on top of the bowl or mug rack if the dishware is prone to flipping.
D. Plates, monkey dishes, saucers, etc. shall be placed in pegged racks to
allow proper circulation and maximum cleaning action.

7. Wash silverware three times. The first time may be in a flat rack or in a silverware rack. Sort the silverware by utensil and place eating end up and wash for the second time. Next invert the silverware into a new, clean cylinder eating end down and wash for the third time.

8. Avoid overloading the racks and cylinders and make sure that all surfaces are exposed to the spray action of the water and cleaners.

9. Check for proper temperatures and pressures. Follow manufacturers recommendations.

10. Check each rack for items that might not have gotten completely clean. Most items will need only one pass if proper procedures are used.

11. Air Dry all items. Towels may contaminate items.

12. Keep machine in good repair. Have it checked regularly.

13. If the same person is loading and unloading the racks, hands must be WASHED with SOAP & WATER before touching the clean surface.

14. In case of a Norovirus of GI outbreak, refer to Norovirus or GI Outbreak P&P.

D. Compliance with and enforcement of current law and policy to provide a work environment free from harassment and all illegal and discriminatory behavior.

4. Supports and participates in common teamwork:

A. Cooperates and works together with all co-workers, plan and complete job duties with minimal supervisory direction, including appropriate judgment.

B. Uses tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations.

C. Reports complaints, problems and concerns regarding co-workers, management, or residents in accordance with company policy.

D. Promotes positive public relations with patients, residents, family members and guests.

E. Completes requirements for in-service training, acceptable attendance, uniform, and dress codes including personal hygiene, and other work duties as assigned.

5. Agrees to comply with the Code of Conduct.
