Position Summary:
The Dishwasher produces and maintains high sanitation levels for keeping dishware, glass, and china clean and safely stored in the kitchen and surrounding areas.
Core Responsibilities:
· Use established guidelines to correctively utilize and maintain dish machine. Wash glasses and dishes in a standard dish rack.
· Wash pots and pans only in the pot washer’s area.
· Ensure that all cleaning is performed that is always required to keep the kitchen neat and clean; this includes sweeping up broken glass/dishes and mopping up any spills.
· Empty full and heavy trash cans. Make sure they are sprayed and sanitized after each use. Place new trash bags in the container after each cleaning.
· Ensure that the kitchen towels are placed in the washer at the end of your shift and washed.
· Follow all Safety guidelines.
· Perform other duties in other areas of the Kitchen as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property
- Focus and maintain attention to tasks and complete work assignments on time despite frequent interruptions
- Regular attendance according to established guidelines
- Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and always maintain staff and guest confidentiality
Physical Requirements:
- Stand and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods of time.
- Bend, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning requirements
- Exert physical effort in lifting, pushing and transporting one hundred (100) pounds
- Work takes place in an environment that can be hot, cold, and/or humid
- Repetitive motions, pulling, pushing, listening, and hearing ability, and visual ability
