The Fat Rabbit Pub is coming soon to downtown Sarasota!
We're a vibrant, fun-loving neighborhood pub serving up elevated burgers and wings, craft cocktails, classic rock nostalgia, and great vibes. We're seeking skilled and experienced Dishwashers to join our team.
As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within a restaurant or food service establishment's kitchen area. Here's a detailed description of their duties:
- Cleaning Dishes: The primary responsibility of a dishwasher is to clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other cooking equipment used in the kitchen. This involves manually scrubbing off food residue, rinsing, and loading items into the dishwasher for thorough cleaning.
- Operating Dishwashing Equipment: Dishwashers are tasked with operating industrial dishwashing machines efficiently. They must understand how to load items properly, adjust settings for different types of dishes, and ensure that the machine is functioning correctly.
- Maintaining Cleanliness: Dishwashers play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen. They must keep dishwashing areas clean and organized, regularly removing trash, wiping down surfaces, and sanitizing equipment to prevent contamination.
- Assisting with Kitchen Tasks: Depending on the needs of the kitchen, dishwashers may be asked to assist with other tasks such as food preparation, unloading deliveries, or restocking supplies. They must be willing to work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Handling Chemicals Safely: Dishwashers are often responsible for handling cleaning chemicals and detergents used in the dishwashing process. It's essential for them to follow safety protocols and use protective equipment to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Adhering to Health and Safety Regulations: Dishwashers must comply with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of food, maintaining cleanliness standards, and following guidelines for equipment operation. This helps ensure that the kitchen environment is safe for both employees and customers.
- Time Management: Dishwashers need to work efficiently to keep up with the pace of the kitchen. They must prioritize tasks, manage their time effectively, and communicate with other kitchen staff to ensure a steady flow of clean dishes.
- Flexibility: In a fast-paced kitchen environment, tasks and priorities can change rapidly. Dishwashers must be adaptable and willing to take on different responsibilities as needed to support the team.
