Job Description:
We’re looking for someone friendly and outgoing with great communication skills to join our crew! Individuals must be able to act quickly and effectively. The dish position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for plates, cups, silverware, cooking utensils, pots/pans, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe and sanitary facility.
Requirements:
- Must be able to stand on feet for extended durations of time
- Must be able to bend, lift and carry dish racks that will contain dishes, pots, pans, cups, silverware and bus tubs
- Must be able to be subject to wet floors, extreme temperatures, and loud noise
- Must work as a team with all personnel
Duties:
- Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through the dish machine
- Checks machine to be sure it is operating correctly and reports any defects immediately
- Sets up and breaks down the dish machine
- Washes and correctly stores all dishes
- Presoaks, pots, pans, and silverware
- Checks water temperature during dishwashing to ensure sanitary practice
- Removes trash from dish area and front of the house then places in dumpsters
- Cleans and keeps dish area neat
- Performs other related duties as assigned by a manager and/or shift lead
- Carries clean dishes to proper stations for storage
- Rewash soiled dishes before delivering, if needed
- Set up or break down dishwashing area
- Conduct general restaurant and restroom cleaning
- Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $10.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
