The Dishwasher is responsible for cleaning all flatware, glassware, silverware, tools, and equipment needed to provide guests with an excellent dining experience. Requirements:
- Ability to always be on time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on one’s feet for up to 12 hours in a wet and humid environment
- Organizational and multi-tasking abilities
- Ability to manage the crisis in a calm and effective manner
- Fortitude to effectively receive feedback
- Teamwork-oriented and able to take direction
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Operates commercial dishwasher and trash dumpster puller
- Washes glassware and other implements by hand when necessary
- Empties and cleans all trash receptacles
- Cleans iced tea dispensers
- Rotates dishes to reduce wear and tear on resources
- Cleans dish storage areas
- Follows sanitation policies at all times
- Provides assistance to prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times
- Performs opening, closing, and side work as directed
- Cleans up spills or broken glassware immediately
- Reports any sanitation or janitorial issues to appropriate party
- Cleans up messes in any area of the restaurant throughout shift
