Essential Functions:
- Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through the dish machine.
- Sort and stack clean dishes. Carries clean dishes to cook’s line and other proper storage areas. Rewash soiled dishes before delivering.
- Change dishwater in the dish machine.
- Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand.
- Remove trash and garbage to the dumpster.
- Set up or break down the dishwashing area.
- Clean and roll/unroll mats.
- Fill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
- Sweep/mop floors.
- Conduct general restaurant cleaning as directed.
- Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry.
- Notify the manager any time the dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures.
- Follows proper hand sanitation protocols.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
- This position may be full-time or part-time in a healthcare facility that is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Days and hours of work vary based on need. Rotating shifts, as well as evenings, weekends, holidays, and, work during inclement weather, will be required.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED (required or being pursued by high school student)
- Prior Experience working in a commercial kitchen (Preferred)
