Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team. As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in our kitchen. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized.
Duties:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashing equipment or by hand
- Ensure that all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized
- Sort, stack, and store clean dishes in appropriate areas
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas, including sweeping and mopping floors
- Empty trash bins regularly and dispose of waste properly
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Experience:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation practices is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Skills:
- Familiarity with hotel or restaurant operations
- Understanding of basic culinary techniques
- Experience with bussing or banquet catering is a plus
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when necessary
