Job Description:
As a Disaster Recovery Technician you will travel to service calls at residential and commercial properties to support the cleanup and restoration of water, mold, smoke, and fire damage. You will work closely and communicate with the crew chief to ensure the homeowner and/or customers needs are met. You will also do your part to clean and maintain vehicles, equipment, warehouse, and office areas.
Responsibilities:

• Follows work orders provided by the Crew Chief, checks route for travel, ensures appropriate equipment and supplies are loaded on truck needed for job, arrives to work site.
• Completes assigned jobs according to SERVPRO processes while following Crew Chief instructions.
• Performs water damage repair to include water extraction, pack-out of contents, removing/disposing of non-salvageable materials, light construction and demolition as directed by supervisor.
• Ensures equipment, supplies, vehicles, and products are properly handled. Reports any equipment malfunction and or damage to supervisor. Maintains vehicles and equipment in a clean and organized fashion.
• Prepare, set up and stage rooms/areas within the home or business for work activities.
• Understand and follow safety and risk management guidelines on the job site, office, and while traveling to jobsites.
• Possible opportunity to respond to Storms within the country.

Qualifications:

• Must have great attitude, be punctual, and hard working individual
• Good verbal and written and communication skills
• Must be willing to work overtime, be on-call at times, & work weekends as needed
• Experience with using mobile software to enter data
• Can read and follow product label usage instructions
• Reports to work on time in a clean, complete uniform
• Must be able to prioritize activities and meet deadlines
• Certifications are not required but preferred:
  • WTR Water Damage Restoration Technician
  • ASD Applied Structural Drying Technician
• Ability to travel locally and out of state as necessary
• Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable law

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

• Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and ability to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Exposure to chemicals
• Walking and standing for long periods of time, driving, sitting, climbing,
• Ability to climb ladders and work at ceiling heights
• Ability to work in tight spaces (e.g., crawls spaces under buildings)
• Repetitive pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying objects
